The Greenstar BLOX® technology, as a manually produced product, has been proven as a viable building system via sustainable building materials in numerous projects ranging from retaining walls to homes. Texas Tech University, a Corporate Partner and equity holder in Mason Greenstar, through the Whitacre College of Engineering has conducted an extensive course of testing on manually manufactured Greenstar BLOX® to make numerous determinations on its viability, uses, and properties. All tests conducted thus far on Greenstar BLOX® have been very favorable and the product has shown tremendous performance. Complementing the ongoing work in the engineering laboratories, the Rawls School of Business Administration has conducted several feasibility studies identifying expanding markets and has given “green lights” to all aspects of Greenstar BLOX® potential.
On a state level, planning is under way with Mason Greenstar, Inc. and Texas Tech University are to begin using Greenstar BLOX® construction materials to build sustainable and energy efficient dormitories and classrooms at Texas Tech University Center in Junction, Texas, near Mason. Future projects on several campuses throughout the state are also slated. Greenstar BLOX® is approved as an ‘alternative’ building material and has been issued building permits for projects in the City of Lubbock, Texas. The company is currently pursing code approval for Greenstar BLOX® in one of the largest “green-minded” cities in the world, Austin, Texas. On a global level, through global licensing agreements the Greenstar BLOX® technology can provide environmental building materials and energy saving solutions, as well as more comfortable, less expensive, sustainable, and safer living for people around the planet.
All future Mason Greenstar quality controlled products coming off the prototype line will be sent to Texas Tech University and ATSM International certified laboratories for testing and Evaluation Services (ES) reports. Reports, necessary to gain building code approval from the International Code Council (ICC). Mason Greenstar will be also be showcasing the manufacturing technology to entities wishing to secure world-wide licensing agreements. Bob Heinrich, the former CEO of the International Code Council, has consulted with Mason Greenstar since 2009 regarding ICC procedures and testing, as well as product development and marketing. Mr. Heinrich has been retained by Mason Greenstar Inc. to design our testing pathways.
Mason Greenstar’s relationships with cellulose raw material providers are a solution to the waste paper off these manufacturing lines which would otherwise find its way into landfills all over the world.

Greenstar BLOX are competitively priced, affordable green construction products that are an affordable alternative to conventional bricks and building materials. Residual savings on energy in a Greenstar BLOX home are estimated to be up to fifty percent compared to a conventionally constructed home of equal size.
Construction materials are minimal with Greenstar BLOX. The Greenstar BLOX (10″ x 14″ x4″) are shipped with 156 BLOX per pallet and 2.5 Greenstar BLOX provide approximately 1 square foot of wall space.

- Greenstar Additive (for mortar and scratch coat, if desired) Only 1 gallon is needed per pallet of 156 BLOX
All that is needed by the customer to complete the mortar recipe is water and 2 bags of Portland Cement Type 3 per pallet of BLOX!
