About Greenstar BLOX®…

Greenstar BLOX are an energy efficient and environmentally friendly building material comprised of recycled short-fiber cellulose (newspapers, phone books, lottery tickets, and other cellulose blended materials), cement, and a two part organic ad-mixture.  Greenstar BLOX®  are currently produced in a 10”x14”x4” building block, replicating the traditional adobe size.  The patented formula can be can be cast into various shapes, sizes, and forms to construct homes, buildings, and retaining walls, along with many other applications. The advantages of using the system are numerous. The simplicity of masonry construction is only topped with the use of light weight materials. A wide variety of finishing options and residual energy savings keep a resident satisfied.  Greenstar BLOX® was recently chosen by the Texas State Energy Conservation Office and The Eureka! Grant Program as one of six top emerging technologies in the State of Texas.

Mason Greenstar, a Texas Corporation, was founded in June of 2005.  Located in Mason, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Mason Greenstar is a company focused on developing and commercializing innovative building materials that are competitively priced, environmentally friendly, and can be easily integrated into conventional building projects.  Texas Tech University, an equity partner, is currently putting Greenstar BLOX® through a rigorous testing protocol aimed toward developing building codes for numerous products through the International Code Council and bringing the technology to the forefront of the construction industry.
